Ohrid “St. Paul the Apostle” Airport

Situated on the shores of the crystal clear Lake Ohrid, the town of Ohrid is the capital of Macedonian tourism. Famous for its numerous churches and classic Macedonian architecture, Ohrid is often referred to as the „Jerusalem of the Balkans“. The city has a vast history and cultural heritage; and it was made a UNESCO World heritage site in 1980.

Ohrid “St. Paul the Apostle” Airport is the gateway to this Macedonian tourist region. TAV Airports has undertaken the operation of the airport as of 01 March 2010 and has refurbished and modernized the terminal building and the VIP lounge. The Airport is a small boutique airport designed for tourism, equipped to handle up to 500 000 passengers annually. Even though it is open all year long, it sees the bulk of its traffic in the summer season with more than 98% of the passengers served coming from Western Europe making it an ideal setting for promoting Macedonian exports as well as other tourist services and facilities.
